Join their rapidly growing ranks with our Certificate in Translation Studies, which will prime you for success in a wide variety of fields鈥攆rom education to social work, literature, business, law (depositions, courts and lawyers鈥 offices), and healthcare (hospital, clinics and doctors鈥 offices).
By the time you complete the certificate program, you鈥檒l be able to perform high-quality translations of extensive texts, identify and critique translations, understand fundamental translation theories and methods, and use key source texts (dictionaries, books, and websites) to develop translations. You鈥檒l also be well versed in key professional concepts like ethics, process, workflow and quality assurance.
This program is open to undergraduate students taking Spanish, French or Italian, as well as college graduates with proficiency in English and another language.

We鈥檝e also collaborated with the University鈥檚 Innovation Center to develop a special 鈥渓ive case鈥 course: a project-based experience that teaches students to solve real-life problems by working with an external organization via video conference.
