Jonathan Larson 鈥82, the creator of the musicals Rent and tick, tick鈥 BOOM! who changed musical theater forever, 鈥渨as a standout talent in the early stages of Adelphi鈥檚 theater program,鈥 Adelphi President Christine M. Riordan, PhD, said in a video about the Jonathan Larson Scholarship Fund. 鈥淭his [fund] will ensure Adelphi students can follow in Jonathan鈥檚 footsteps for many years to come.鈥
When Mary Jane 鈥62 and Thomas Poole received the President鈥檚 Award for Distinguished Service at the 2022 President鈥檚 Gala, President Christine Riordan praised the Pooles as 鈥渃hampions of the arts at Adelphi.鈥 They sponsor the 鈥淧oole Family Broadway Series,鈥 which showcases professionals and students at the Performing Arts Center.
