Students at Adelphi and across the country are coming together, along with the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities and the American Council on Education, in calling for a doubling of Federal Pell Grants for undergraduate students in need of financial support.

Since joining Adelphi in September 2017, James (Jim) Perrino, Â鶹ֱ²¥ executive vice president of finance and operations, has achieved an enviable track record of success.

Adelphi has brought a new face into its Department of Public Safety and Transportation, adding another voice to the climate of diversity, inclusion and tolerance that is a staple of University programming and operations.

Since the January reopening of Â鶹ֱ²¥'s newly renovated Ruth S. Harley University Center (UC), several local and state government officials and community members have stopped by to visit. In early February, Nassau County Executive Laura Curran and Evlyn Tsimis, JD, deputy county executive for economic development, took a tour of the completely reimagined building and hub of the University's Garden City campus.

Many colleges and universities were fully remote during the height of the pandemic. In Fall 2020, Adelphi opened to our community. With exhaustive planning, regular testing protocols and almost 100 percent compliance from our students, faculty and staff, our University upheld our mission and provided a safe campus environment throughout the semester.

Four successful leaders were elected to the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Board of Trustees at the end of 2020. Our institution is fortunate to gain the expertise of these dedicated and accomplished Adelphi alumni.
