Personal Statement
I believe education should be a dialogue between professor and student. Each should walk away enriched. I think work habits are more important than talent or intelligence. They are more unique in the world. I feel if you aren't having fun, you are doing something wrong. The secret to life is to pitch your tent on top of what you love.

My most recent feature film, WHEN THE SUN CAME FOR THEM, has won a number of awards including a Human Rights Silver Award at the World Human Rights Festival in Jakarta.
It also won a Special Jury Award for Excellence in Filmmaking at the Barcelona International Film Festival.
In addition WHEN THE SUN CAME FOR THEM won Awards of Merit at both the World Documentary Festival and at the World Film Awards.
At the New York International Film Festival it won a Certificate of Merit
At the Docs without Borders festival in Delaware it won a Merit Award
WHEN THE SUN CAME FOR THEM has also screened at the TrueDoc festival in the Ukraine and at Barcelona Planet Film Festival
