Applying to college after leaving the military, or while still active, is a monumental decision that will shape the course of your life. At Adelphi, we strive to make the application process for veterans and military personnel as smooth and simple as possible. Military personnel听follow the same admissions process that traditional students follow when听applying to Adelphi.
However,听there are unique听advantages and benefits听for military and veteran applicants听that you should听consider.

College Application Fee Waiver and Other Benefits for Veterans
Regardless of the program you are applying to, any military student that plans to use Post-9/11 GI Bill庐 benefits should follow this general application process:
- Complete an online application to Adelphi or call听800.ADELPHI听to have a paper application mailed to you; there is no application fee for any active, reserve and veteran military applicant
- If eligible, complete a听听(online application) for veterans affairs benefits
- Even if you may be covered completely by veterans affairs education benefits, complete an online听) form for federal and state financial aid
- Contact the听听to notify them of your active, reserve or veteran military status, and your plans, if any, to use Post-9/11 GI Bill庐 benefits
- Contact a听pre-enrollment academic adviser听at Adelphi who specializes in assisting active, reserve and veteran military students; the adviser can assist you with all application and enrollment questions (see contact information below)
